It’s showtime again!
This year efco creative are sharing space on the Creative Solutions Trading Co. Ltd. stand at the show, so we’ll be right at the front of the hall this year on Stand D02, Hall 11, instead of our usual position lurking down the back!
Why the change?
Well, this will be the last Stitches for Sinotex UK Ltd as efco’s UK representative as on 1st May 2018 Creative Solutions will be efco creative gmbH’s new UK agent.
The link to a letter sent to our trade customers recently explains the new arrangement in more detail and Sue & I will be on the stand to answer any questions you have.
We look forward to your visit to the stand – and don’t forget –

We’ve been delighted with the response to the article on the Efcolor Oven in Make Jewellery Magazine, so here is some additional information for those of you who want to find out more. See the bottom of this post for stockist details.
The kiln is heated by 4 tealights and comes complete with tools and firing plate. It may sound a bit basic, but it works a treat and is ideal for “firing” Efcolor low melt enamel powder, which only requires a temperature of 150C
As Efcolor fuses at a low temperature it can be used on more delicate surfaces such as card or papier mache as well as on most metal surfaces …. we even enameled some old bottle tops during an idle moment at a trade show! You don’t have to use bottle tops, of course and Efco produce a large range of copper blanks in all shapes and sizes. Efco’s blanks can also be used with conventional, high temperature enamel powders.
Efcolor low melt enamel powder is available in over 40 colours and differing finishes, opaque, clear, metallic, textured and glitter.

Every bit as magical as Chinese lanterns, but with less risk of fire and possible damage to wildlife and livestock from discarded parts.
Luminaria in an outdoors setting
“A luminaria is a small light or lantern (commonly a candle set in some sand inside a paper bag) which is of significance among New World Hispanics at Christmas time. ….. In recent times they are seen more as a secular decoration, akin to Christmas lights. Strings of artificial luminarias, with plastic bags illuminated by small light bulbs and connected by an electrical cord, are also available, and are common in the American Southwest, where they are typically displayed throughout the year-end holiday season. These are beginning to gain popularity in other parts of the United States.”
[quote taken from Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luminaria ]
Luminaria ™ from Efco are available in 30 different designs and 10 displays. (see News catalogue chapter 171, pages 1-7)
Luminaria can be used either outside or indoors and with either tea-lights (the paper has been treated to make it flame resistant), or with chains of fairy lights (indoors only). Luminaria can be used “as is” or decorated and will create a stunning setting for a late summer barbecue or party, or a romantic and novel Christmas decoration.
