Where have 14 years gone?

It’s the end of 14 very enjoyable years representing efco creative GmbH in the UK and Ireland and I am retiring as efco’s agent.

Robo Crafter!

I’m not sure I can get my head round this ….
Always thought the definition of craft was something that was made by hand, by a person.

This is the robo- photo pearls crafter that efco presented at the recent Nurenberg Toy Fair.

May not be craft as we know it, but certainly impressive, though maybe a spray of WD40 is required!

A New Year – A New Name !

Hobbygross Erler GmbH, the trading company behind the efco creative brand changed it’s name at the end of last year to

efco creative GmbH

The new company is a merger of Efco Produckte GmbH (the manufacturing arm of the company) and hobbygross Erler. We have now moved our production facility from the old premises at Wiernsheim (some 80km away) to our main Rohrbach site, so distribution and production are now under one roof which will improve logistics and service to our customers.

efco creative GmbH will reinforce the efco creative brand as a leading supplier to the art, craft and hobby trade and avoid the confusion that used to exist between the efco and hobbygross names.

Please amend your records to show the new efco creative GmbH name and if you pay by cheque, please use the new name from now on.

All other details, registered number, VAT number, bank accounts and contact telephone numbers remain unchanged and Sinotex UK Ltd. is still your point of contact for all efco creative enquiries from the U.K. and Ireland.

New from Efco, these super ply laser-cut letters and numerals.
Available in a boxed display case, or as individual items all at incredible prices!
The letters are approx 40mm high, cut from 2mm ply.

Efco Anodised Aluminium Wire

Soft and easy to bend, Efco’s anodised aluminium wire is perfect for creative jewellery making and hundreds of craft uses. The wires are supplied in two thicknesses: 1 & 2mm diameter  and as 5mm ribbon.

Another great idea from Efco ….

Efco wire protectors Efco wire protectors

These plastic protectors slide over the ends of pliers to give a bit more grip and prevent damage to jewellery wire or other delicate items. Use a heat-gun or hair-dryer to shrink the protector onto the pliers.

The protectors are supplied as a set of four 10cm lengths in three different diameters: 3.2mm, 4.8mm, 6.4mm (x2)

Floods in Germany

Hochwasser in Bayern

You may have seen in the news reports on the flooding in Germany over the weekend.

Although the the Pfalz region didn’t seem too badly hit – other than a very full and turbulent river Rhine and a lot of waterlogged fields, the rain has caused problems at Efco’s local exchange and they are without internet and phones. Communication is limited to a  single fax line and various mobiles!

The latest information we have from Efco is that the phonelines are still out of action, but should be working again tomorrow (5th June)

Public holidays in Germany

As one of our colleagues in Rohrbach said ” May and June are good months to be an employee in Germany!”

Efco will be closed for the following holidays:

  • 17th May  Ascension Day
  • 28th May  Whitsun
  • 7th & 8th June    Corpus Christi
  • 3rd October  German Unification Day
  • 1st November   All Saints’ Day

So do allow a little more time for delivery if you’re ordering around these dates
